Ruffell & Brown Interiors is a local company.
We live and work here and we are proud to be involved in our community. We are active members of community associations that aim to ensure positive business relationships such as Better Business Bureau, Canadian Home Builders' Association and the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce.
We sponsor several local charities including the Women's Transition House by raising funds through the two Designer Guys events we have organized in 2003 and 2004. In 2006, Ruffell & Brown Interiors sponsored a Spirit Bear in the City which was auctioned to raise money for the BC Lions Society's Easter Seals Services on Vancouver Island.
At Ruffell & Brown Interiors, we believe in supporting concrete local initiatives. We like to think of ourselves as community leaders, doing what we can. Recently we helped out with an extreme home makeover of Casa Maria Emergency Housing Society. This society has helped over two hundred families in crisis over the past eighteen years, without government funding. But after eighteen years and two hundred families the place needed a makeover. Organized by a local non-profit, Hero Search, the event was recorded for a video due out in the coming months. In the interim, Hero Search has put together an inventive photo montage set to music. Here’s a link to the montage. It shows what can happen when community--both businesses and volunteers--come together with common purpose.
