Roller & Screen Shades

They’re Not the Roller Shades You Remember!

Traditional roller shades have been reinvented. The concept is the same – they are still made of flat fabric that winds around a metal roller tube, but the range of fabrics to choose from expanded dramatically. Choose from fabrics that suit today’s relaxed, elegant, and casual lifestyles. From high-tech solar screen mesh fabrics to stunning pattern or woven fabrics, there are almost limitless options to appeal to your sense of style. There are also cordless lift systems and motorized options to choose from. Today’s roller shades are easier to maintain and more durable than the ones you may remember. As there is no horizontal surface to collect dust like there is with a venetian blind, caring for roller shades is easy. Just dust or vacuum at a low setting. Most fabrics can also be spot cleaned with a mild soap solution.

Patterns and colours for every décor

You can match any type of décor with roller shades. These elegant shades are easy to operate and add a modern feel to any room. Choose from designer-inspired fabrics in a multitude of colors, patterns, and textures, including geometric patterns and delicate woven textures. The fabrics are available in a range of opacities from sheer fabrics that are airy and translucent, light-filtering fabrics that provide a soft outline of the outdoors. Room-darkening fabrics dim the room significantly, and blackout fabrics block light from shining through the shade for ultimate privacy. Many of the roller shade fabrics are also available in roman shades and sliding panels for a coordinated look throughout your home.

A newer take on the traditional roller shade is a transitional or banded shade. These shades have the addition of sheer fabric bands alternating with light-filtering or blackout fabric bands to offer you the privacy of a roller shade combined with the softened view of a sheer. You have the option of raising or lowering your shade with privacy and light control at every level. You create the open and closed (room darkening) effect when the two fabrics pass by one another with opposing sheer and semi-opaque sections.
